Qianfeng District is veritably like a youth born in the 2010s.
2013年2月，经国务院批准、省政府批复，设立前锋区。至此，广安市最年轻的区县诞生了。
Qianfeng District was established in February 2013 with approval from the State Council and the People's Government of Sichuan Province. It is the youngest county-level district in Guang'an City.
前锋区位于广安市东部、渠江东岸、华蓥山西麓，幅员面积505.6平方公里。拥有双竹连响之乡、美丽公园城市、西部轻工城、康养旅游胜地“四张名片”和“国家级经济技术开发区、川渝合作示范城市”国家级战略平台，是全国文明城市和国家卫生城市、全国纺织产业转移试点园区、全国纺织服装十大产业园区，四川省唯一的省级脱贫奔康轻纺专业出口基地。
Qianfeng District is situated on the east bank of the Qujiang River at the west foot of the Huaying Mountain in the east of Guang'an City, covering an area of 505.6 square kilometers. Qianfeng District has four business cards—Hometown of the Shuangzhu Lianxiang Art, Beautiful Park City, Western Light Industry City, and Wellness and Tourism Resort, and two national strategic platforms—National Economic and Technological Development Zone and Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation Demonstration City. It is a national civilized city, a national sanitary city, a national pilot textile industry transfer industrial park, one of the top 10 Chinese textile and garment industrial parks, and the only provincial poverty-alleviating light textile professional export base in Sichuan Province.
历史悠久、人文厚重。有记载的历史逾3000年，古賨人最早在此繁衍生息，巴濮文化、宕渠文化源远流长，是华蓥山游击队红岩文化的发祥地之一，系四川省民间文化艺术双竹连响之乡。境内大良城与合川钓鱼城齐名，是宋军抵御蒙军顺长江上游进军南方的军事要塞。厚重的历史文化，哺育出了明代贤臣王德完、革命先烈杨玉枢等一大批仁人志士。
A Time-honored History and Culture. Qianfeng District has a recorded history of over 3,000 years. The ancient Cong people were the first to thrive here, creating the well-established Bapu culture and Dangqu culture. It is one of the birthplaces of Hongyan culture created by the Huaying Mountain guerrillas and the cradle of Shuangzhu Lianxiang, a folk art of Sichuan Province. Daliang City in Qianfeng District enjoys a reputation comparable to that of Diaoyu City in Hechuan. In the Song Dynasty, it served as a military fortress from which the Song troops launched an offensive against the Mongolian army marching to the south along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Its rich history and vibrant culture have nurtured a big number of people with lofty ideals such as Wang Dewan, a worthy minister of the Ming Dynasty, and Yang Yushu, a revolutionary martyr.
区位优越、交通便捷。地处重庆、成都、西安三大都市交汇的重要节点，镇广高速纳入国家高速路网规划，广安过境高速、广前大道、港前大道内联外通，纵贯南北的襄渝铁路在前锋设立广安站，是渝新欧铁路的重要节点，吞吐量达百万标箱的广安港可直达重庆、上海。
A Superior Traffic Location. Qianfeng District connects the three major Chinese cities of Chongqing, Chengdu and Xi'an. The Zhenba-Guang'an Expressway is incorporated into the national expressway network plan. The Guang'an Transit Expressway, Guang'an-Qianfeng Avenue and Gangqian Avenue run through Qianfeng District. Guang'an Station of the Xiangyang-Chongqing Railway in Qianfeng District is an important node on the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Railway. Guang'an Port, which has a throughput of one million TEUs, can access Chongqing and Shanghai non-stop.
物产丰饶、资源富集。灵山秀水孕育了这方神奇的土地，有生物资源1400多种，探明的煤储量达1.85亿吨、石灰石达45亿吨，富锶矿泉水储量达227.3万方，森林覆盖率达42.4%。广安火电厂总装机240万千瓦、年发电210亿千瓦时。广安青花椒、广安松针被评为国家地理标志产品。
A Richly Endowed Place. Richly endowed Qianfeng District is home to over 1,400 kinds of biological resources, an ascertained coal reserve of 185 million tons, a limestone reserve of 4.5 billion tons, and a strontium-rich mineral water reserve of 2.273 million cubic meters. 42.4% of Qianfeng District is covered with forest. Guang'an Thermal Power Plant has a total installed capacity of 2.4 million kilowatts and an annual power generation of 21 billion kilowatt hours. Guang'an green Chinese prickly ash and Guang'an pine needles are designated Chinese products with protected geographical indications.
机遇叠加、前景广阔。“一带一路”建设、长江经济带发展、成渝地区双城经济圈建设等国家战略交汇叠加，拥有国家级经开区、川渝合作示范区前锋商贸物流园区等金字招牌，城市新区、工业园区、物流园区初具规模，项目、资金、人才等发展要素加速聚集，蕴含着巨大的政策优势和发展优势。
Considerable Opportunities and Broad Prospects. National strategies such as the “Belt and Road” Initiative, the Development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Building of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle all involve Qianfeng District. Qianfeng has three national "gilded signboards": the National Economic Development Zone, the Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation Demonstration Zone and the Qianfeng Commerce and Logistics Park. The new urban areas, industrial parks,and logistics park are beginning to take shape, and factors of development such as projects, funds, and talent are gathering together, giving Qianfeng District huge policy advantages and development potential.
创业图强、发展强劲。坚持产业新城康养前锋发展定位，发挥紧邻重庆和资源富集优势，抓好品质城区、品牌园区、品位景区建设，奋力打造开放包容活力城、产城融合示范区、山水田园宜居地、区域经济增长极，一张蓝图绘到底，重整行装再出发，奋起“二次创业”，做强以轻工服装为主导，装备制造和能源建材为优势的“1+2”现代工业，做精以粮油、生猪为主导，青花椒、茶叶为特色的“2+2”现代农业，做优以现代物流、康养旅游、商业贸易为支柱型，商务会展、特色餐饮、人力资源为成长型的“3+3”现代服务业，深度融入成渝地区双城经济圈建设，全面建设社会主义现代化前锋。
Remarkable Entrepreneurship. Qianfeng District positions itself as a new industrial and health-maintaining city. It gives full play to its proximity to Chongqing and rich resources, works to build high-quality urban areas, brand industrial parks, and high-standard scenic spots, and expends efforts to create an open, inclusive and dynamic city, an industry-city integration demonstration area, a livable area of beautiful landscapes and exquisite gardens, and a regional economic growth pole. Qianfeng District is drawing a complete blueprint and starting anew to start a "second entrepreneurship". It is rolling out a modern industrial development plan in which the garment industry occupies a dominant position and equipment manufacturing and energy and building materials stand out as superior industries; it is rolling out a modern agricultural development plan in which cereals and vegetable oils and live pigs occupy a dominant position and green Chinese prickly ash and tea serve as the feature; it is also rolling out a modern service development plan in which modern logistics, wellness tourism and trade play the role of pillars and conventions and exhibitions, characteristic catering and human resources achieve substantial growth. The ultimate aim is for Qianfeng District to integrate into the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and go one step further in its drive to modernize itself.

Qianfeng District is opening its arms to the world. Qianfeng District is presenting an all-new image as an open-minded government, an open area, and a treasure house for development. Qianfeng District is sure to become a new industrial base of great achievement, a modern congenial industrial city, an important pole of economic growth in Guang'an, and one of the most outstanding county-level economic players in Sichuan.
