Introduction 

To fully implement the strategic deployments of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council on fostering new advantages of the digital economy and give play to Beijing’s role in spearheading domestic development and promoting international cooperation in the field of digital economy, we plan to hold the Global Digital Economy Conference 2024 in early July, with an aim to advance the Global Digital Economy Partner City Cooperation Initiative, expand the “circle of friends” of global digital economy partner cities, bring together governments, businesses, educational institutions, research institutes, users, and financial institutions to jointly promote the construction of global digital economy benchmark cities, and drive and guide international cooperation in the digital economy. With China National Convention Center as the main venue, the event will adopt a “1+6+3+N” organizational structure and consist of an opening ceremony, the main forum, and high-level forums on topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Internet 3.0, Digital Transformation, Global Digital Governance, Digital Security, and Data Elements, complemented with the three brand activities of the Digital Economy Experience Week & Digital Consumption Festival and Digital Music Festival, Digital Night, and Achievements Exhibition. Besides, a number of thematic forums in sectors such as Data Foundation, Digital and Intelligent Emerging Industries, New-type Integration of Digital Economy and Real Economy, and Digital Global Governance will be held, alongside a series of activities launched throughout the year.

Beijing Digital Economy Experience Week & Digital Consumption Festival and Digital Music Festival

As an important part of the Global Digital Economy Conference 2024, it includes an inaugural ceremony, “16+1” zones with unique digital brands each, and achievements release. With the theme of “creating a better life through the digital economy,” different scenarios and contents will be set up based on the characteristics of various districts in Beijing, and a new consumption model will be created in combination with the new concept of digital consumption.

Achievements Exhibition 

The exhibition will adhere to the theme of the conference, “Usher in a New Era of Digital Intelligence, Share a New Future of Digital Connectivity,” and focus on provide interactive experiences, promote science popularization, and serve visitors by comprehensively using a variety of technical means such as theme shaping, real-scene interaction, and immersive experience. It will vividly present the latest achievements of the digital economy in empowering various industries, and the picture of people enjoying digital dividends in daily life.

The Global Digital Night 2024 upholds the concept of integrating tradition and innovation. Using the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, it will perfectly combine traditional Chinese culture and modern digital technologies, and present a unique cultural and art feast of scientific innovation that integrates tradition and modernity, Chinese style and popular elements, and reality and virtuality.
