Inspired by last year's cooperation with the UAE, the Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) will organize a Middle East session of the Digital Economy Development Forum in Dubai on May 28 in honor of the 40th anniversary of China and the UAE's diplomatic relations.

After three successful iterations beginning in 2021, the GDEC has established itself as a premier platform for digital innovation and creativity on a worldwide scale, in addition to facilitating digital-friendly international exchanges and cooperation. 

China and the UAE, as major participants in the "BRI" Initiative, are substantially fortifying their comprehensive strategic alliance. The primary objective of the Digital Economy Development Forum of 2024 GDEC Middle East is to promote enhanced economic and trade relations and communication between China, Dubai, the Middle East, and the rest of the world. In addition to exploring novel business models, technologies, and modes of operation within this domain, the forum aims to address and resolve digital economy challenges. Additionally, the forum will proactively establish a mechanism for long-term operations and a practical cooperation platform.
