The Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC) is not only a platform for promoting digital-friendly international exchanges and cooperation, but also a global source of digital creativity and innovation. The GDEC has been successfully held for three times since 2021, and Beijing has launched the Global Digital Economy Partner City Cooperation (GDEPCC) Initiative with 18 international cities, which aims to promote the open, innovative network of the digital economy between global cities and under the international multi-bilateral frameworks. It has become an international cooperation platform that builds up a global digital economy featuring inclusiveness, balance, innovation, win-win cooperation and common prosperity, exploring new paths and methods to promote the construction of a digital-friendly human community with a shared future.
China and the UAE are elevating comprehensive strategic partnership on a large scale, as not only is the UAE a major country participating in the "BRI" Initiative, but also this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE. The Global Digital Economy Conference (GDEC), inspired by the cooperation with the UAE last year, will set up a Middle East session and organize the Digital Economy Development Forum in Dubai to further strengthen mutual exchanges, investment and cooperation in the field of digital economy, discuss and solve the issues in digital economy, explore the new modes, technologies and business forms in this field, and actively establish a practical cooperation platform and long-term operation mechanism based on the strengthening of communication and economic and trade exchanges between China, Dubai and the Middle East.
