政治体制改革

社会主义制度在中国的确立和发展只有几十年，与人类历史上其他社会制度相比，时间还很短，还不完善。中国共产党和中国政府积极稳妥地推进政治体制改革，坚持和完善社会主义民主制度，加强和健全社会主义法制，改革和完善中国共产党的领导方式和执政方式，改革和完善政府决策机制，推进行政管理体制改革，推进司法体制改革，深化干部人事制度改革，加强对权力的制约和监督，努力维护社会稳定，促进经济发展和社会全面进步。

Political structural reform

China established the socialist system only a few decades ago and has been developing it ever since. When compared with other social systems in the history of mankind, China's present system is still very new and has yet to be further improved. To this end, the CPC and the Chinese government are carrying out active yet steady political structural reform, upholding and improving the socialist democratic system, strengthening the legal system, reforming CPC's art of leadership and governance, and improving government's policy-making mechanism. They are also promoting reform of the administrative system, advancing the reform of the judicial system, deepening the personnel system relating to officials, imposing stricter checks and oversight on the exercise of power, striving to safeguard social stability and pushing forward economic development and all-round social progress.
